REDFERN JON BARREETT is the nonbinary British-German author of novels including The Giddy Death of the Gays & the Strange Demise of Straights, which was a finalist for the Bi Book Awards. Their short stories have appeared or are upcoming in publications including Booth, The Sun Magazines, Passages North, Flash Fiction Online, The Future Fire, and ParSec Magazine, while their other writing has featured in Guernica, PinkNews, Strange Horizons, and the National Museum of Denmark. Having earned a Ph.D. in literature from Swansea University (Prifysgol Abertawe), Redfern’s fiction deals with themes of identity, ranging from sexuality to gender, polyamory, and religion. A big fan of worldbuilding, they also write ‘ambitopian’ fiction, a genre which includes their most recent novel Proud Pink Sky, coming 2022 from Amble Press.
