MALA KUMAR is the author of The Paths of Marriage.
The Advocate, USA Today, and The Animal covered Mala’s perspectives on intersectional LGBTQ+ issues, as well as her debut novel.
Her second novel is What it Meant to Survive will be published by Bywater Books on October 1, 2024.
Mala works as a Senior Advisor at the World Health Organization. Previously, she was Director of Tech for Social Good at the Microsoft-owned tech company, GitHub. She lives in New York City with her wife, where she enjoys long bike rides in Central Park, buying too many spices, and planning her next trip abroad.
