Something Close to Nothing is a powerful and timely story that explores the pressures of heteronormativity that queer people increasingly feel to have the same kind of lives as straight people. Told with wit and a sardonic sense of humor, this important debut novel features a gay Asian-American lead character, along with other characters of color.
