Bywater Books is pleased to announce the signing of Sam Callaway.
Sam Callaway wrote her first story when she was five—it had a blonde knight, lots of adventure, and, most importantly, a happily ever after. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a BA in professional writing. She is also a graduate of the Golden Crown Literary Society’s Writing Academy, and she is currently working on an editing certificate from the University of Chicago. In her spare time, she loves gaming, lifting weights, and trying different sparkling waters. She currently lives in southeast Virginia with her standard poodle, Archer, and far too many houseplants. Her novel, The Path to You, is a tender sapphic contemporary romance about two women—steady, small-town Elise and ambitious newcomer Caroline—who find love through shared hikes, late-night calls, and the courage to choose each other despite distance, careers, and the pull of different paths. It is scheduled to be published in the fall of 2026.
