Grady Harp has been reading Ellen Hart — and says that she has “once again substantiated her position as one of the more important writers of lesbian mysteries of the day.”

Reviewing her two most recent titles from Bywater, The Mirror and the Mask and The Cruel Ever After, Harp says that Ellen’s books offer readers “Fine writing, fine pacing, excellent character development and enough twist and turns to keep the reader occupied”.

He says too: “Hart knows how to weave mystery novels with a style that does not mimic but has a flavor unique to her works. Her novels reflect her lifestyle and that is not only refreshingly honest but also elevates the genre of lesbian literature to a new high.”
