Bywater Books welcomes two new authors to our publishing family.
CATHY PEGAU grew up in New York reading horror, science fiction, and fantasy novels, and playing RPGs. Writing seemed like a natural progression, adding a touch of romance to her favorite types of stories. Her science fiction romances have won RWA Fantasy, Futuristic, and Paranormal (FF&P) Chapter Best Futuristic Romance and Best of the Best Prism Awards and a Golden Crown Literary Award for Science Fiction/Fantasy. Her writing has garnered such rave reviews as “This was a treat to read,” and “I didn’t hate it.”
Cathy lives in Alaska with her spouse and critters, preferring to hunker down in front of the woodstove with a good book to outdoor activities. You can find her on Facebook and on Twitter more often than she should be there. You can also visit her website for more information.
Bywater Books will publish The Demon Equilibrium—a fast and furious historical paranormal lesbian romance—in late 2021.
KATHLEEN BRADY is a native Californian, though she spent three years living in Beijing, China. Her career has been varied, including stints in clinical psychology, journalism, healthcare, and various and sundry blue-collar jobs. As an author, she has published several freelance pieces in the Los Angeles Times. One of her short stories earned Honorable Mention in the Glimmer Train Short Story Award for New Writers. Kathleen has studied writing with poet Eloise Klein Healy and award-wining author Alice Bloch. She continues to workshop with novelist, memoirist, poet, and editor, Terry Wolverton.
A graduate of Immaculate Heart College, Kathleen currently lives in Los Angeles. You can follow her on Facebook.
Bywater Books will publish Kathleen’s debut novel, Light was the Wild Card—a romance set in 1980s Beijing—in the fall of 2021.
