Shelf Unbound is an e-zine that spotlights the best books from small and independent presses and also self-publishers. Each year, the Shelf Unbound Writing Competition for Best Indie Book chooses one winner and five finalists — and for 2013 there were more than 1,000 entries! So kudos to Hilary Sloin, chosen as one of the finalists for her first novel Art on Fire, a book they describe as “brilliantly structured.” Hilary is interviewed in the December/January issue of Shelf Unbound, and talks about the origins of the book and its arresting title. She also tells us what she’s working on now. To read the full interview, click here.
